B2B brands have been slow on the uptake when it comes to using influencer marketing strategies. But with the trend increasing knowing the watchouts and determining the potential of B2B influencers is key.
It may have taken B2B brands a little longer than their B2C cousins to catch on to the benefits of influencer marketing, but they are certainly making up for lost time.
Influencing Business – a recent report on the sector from Ogilvy – finds that the global market for B2B influencers has grown 20-fold since 2016. Three quarters of B2B marketers have used influencers, and more than half (53%) of the remaining companies surveyed for the report are considering them.
