Gen X marketers doubt job security as over half consider new role
Only 27% of Gen X marketers feel more secure in their jobs than a year ago compared to over half of their Gen Z colleagues, according to Career and Salary Survey 2024.
A tumultuous recruitment market in 2023 may be contributing to a lack of job security among more experienced marketers. Just 27.4% of Gen X marketers (aged 44-59) feel more secure in their jobs than a year ago, according to the 2024 Career and Salary Survey.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the market conditions, there is a significant gap between Gen X’s career confidence and that of Gen Z (aged 27 and under).
