Marketing’s strategic importance ramps up as influence grows
The 2024 Career & Salary Survey reveals marketing has claimed a greater strategic role within business, as its influence and appreciation continue to grow.
The strategic prowess of marketing is becoming better appreciated by business, according to Marketing Week’s 2024 Career & Salary Survey.
Over a third (35%) of the more than 3,000 respondents say marketing has claimed a greater strategic role within their business over the past 12 months. Some 35% of marketers working within SMEs (less than 250 employees) and 35.4% of their peers in large organisations say marketing has a greater strategic role in their business than last year.
