Ageism and John Lewis’s break-up: Your Marketing Week
At the end of every week I look at the key stories, offering my view on what they mean for you and the industry. From ageism in marketing to the John Lewis Partnership parting ways with adam&eveDDB, it’s been a busy week. Here is my take.
The age of the young marketer?
It’s long been thought that there is a whiff of ageism in marketing services. Less so in marketing departments. However, data from our Career and Salary Survey is notable. The profession does skew young. Almost three quarters of our survey is aged between 26 and 45. Almost half (47.3%) between 26 and 35. By comparison just 14.5% are aged between 46 and 65.
