Microsoft CMO: Marketers need to ‘get over their imposter syndrome’
Marketers are the equals of their peers in sales and finance, argues Microsoft’s Chris Capossela, who believes marketing can build brand love by focusing on price.
While for some brands marketing’s role became more visible during the pandemic, CMO Chris Capossela says he is “blessed” this is not a new phenomenon at Microsoft.
“Eight years ago [CEO Satya] Nadella said: ‘I want marketing to be part of the senior leadership team, I want marketing to work directly for me,’” he explains.
